SUBSTANCE: ironing device comprises ironing facility, such as steam iron, and ironing board (11) to hold articles to be ironed. Ironing board (11) comprises readers (41) of radio frequency identification, which serve to identify type of fabric in articles to be ironed, which contain label with this information. Ironing board (11) comprises heater (16) for heating of articles to be ironed, and is also adjusted to supply steam to these articles. In process of this article ironing characteristics of steam supply and temperature of heater (16) are detected on the basis of information produced from article label by readers (41). And readers (41) are arranged in ironing board (11).

EFFECT: improved accuracy and speed of identification process and process of detection of suitable ironing settings.
