SUBSTANCE: for corresponding uncouplings (100, 101) in the form of rolling down cars or groups of cars, for the first car retarder (70) at least one speed value for entrance into the first retarder (70) is determined from set speed of exit from it and based on its operability and properties of corresponding uncoupling (100, 101), and for the second retarder (60) laying upwards to hump relative to the first retarder (70), at least one speed value for exit from the second retarder (60) is determined from at least one obtained speed value for entrance into the first retarder (70). Herewith, the second retarder (60) is controlled taking in consideration at least one obtained exit speed value.
EFFECT: better optimisation of gravity hump operation and specific uncoupling passage time.
