FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method for obtaining 3- and 4-(1,5,3-dithiazacycloalkan-3-yl)benzamides, of general formula (I), n = 1.2, consisting in interaction of N1,N1,N6,N6-tetramethyl-2,5-dithiahexane-1,6-diamine (N1,N1,N7,N7-tetramethyl-2,6-dithiaheptane-1,7-diamine) with 3(4)-aminobenzamides of general formula 3(4)-H2N-C6H4-C(O)NH2 in presence of catalyst of samarium chloride crystalline hydrate SmCl3•6H2O with molar ratio 3(4)-aminobenzamide: N1,N1,N6,N6-tetramethyl-2,5-dithiahexane-1,6-diamine (N1,N1,N7,N7-tetramethyl-2,6-dithiaheptane-1,7-diamine):SmCl3•6H2O = 10:10:(0.5-1.5) at temperature 75-80°C and atmospheric pressure in mixture of solvents ethyl alcohol-chloroform for 6-10 h.
EFFECT: obtaining compounds with high selectivity and output.
