FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of obtaining compound of bis-(1,5,3-dithiazepinan-3-yl)ethane, which has antifungal activity against Botrytis cinerea and Rhizoctonia solani. Essence of method consists in interaction of 1,2-ethanediamine with N1,N1,N6,N6-tetramethyl-2,5-dithiahexane-1,6-diamine in presence of catalyst ZnCl2·6H2O with molar ratio 1,2-ethanediamine : N1,N1,N6,N6-tetramethyl-2,5-dithiahexane-1,6-diamine : ZnCl2·6H2O=1:2:(0.03-0.07) at temperature ~20°C and atmospheric pressure for 2.5-3.5 h.
EFFECT: output of bis-(1,5,3-dithiazepinan-3-yl)ethane (1) constitutes 85-92%.
