FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: powder mix comprises the components that follow. Zinc powder, inert filler and activator composed by the mix of the following elements, wt %: sodium fluoride - 12-15, lithium chloride - 20-25, ammonium chloride - 10-15, zinc chloride - 12-14, potassium chloride making the rest at the following ration of components, wt %: inert filler - 17-22, activator - 6-8, zinc powder making the rest. Claimed process comprises the drying of the mix of inert filler and activator at 60-70°C for 1.5-2.0 h, mixing of all components in sealed revolving container at said temperature 60-70°C to moisture content of not over 1%. Thermal diffusion zinc plating comprises thermal treatment of the article by powder mix a sealed revolving container, cooling and further processing. Said thermal treatment is executed in the sealed revolving container arranged in the furnace at 300-450°C for 60 minutes.

EFFECT: high-quality zinc coat with high rustproof properties, expanded range of products.
