FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemical heat treatment, namely to the process of thermal diffusion galvanizing of steel products in powder mixtures, and can be used in industries, where parts and assemblies of mechanisms made from steels of various purposes work in corrosive environments and are exposed to corrosive effects. Powder mixture for thermal diffusion galvanizing of steel products contains zinc powder, activator and inert filler at following ratio, wt%: zinc powder 30–35, activator 9–11, inert filler balance. Activator consists of a mixture of the following components, wt%: silicocalcium 45–50, sodium fluoride 10–15, iron oxide 10–15, metallic silicon 2–5, orthophosphoric acid balance, when the ratio of the content of iron oxide to metallic silicon is 3–5. Mentioned powder mixture contains silica, alumina, silica sand, or mixtures thereof as an inert filler.
EFFECT: proposed composition of the powder mixture for thermal diffusion galvanizing allows to intensify the process of forming a protective coating, as well as to increase the content of zinc, increase the thickness of the diffusion layer and improve the corrosion resistance of steel products.
