FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: hot gas forming of blanks out of the titanium alloy BT22 is performed using superplastic deformation at a temperature from 870 to 960°C and the deformation rate of 10-3 s-1. The ready parts are additionally heat treated in the (α+β)-area at a temperature from 860 to 880°C.
EFFECT: improved strength characteristics of the product out of the titanium alloy BT22, in particular crack strength.
