FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: described is method for obtaining luminescent soluble complexes of divalent lanthanides LnCl2·(THF)2, wherein Ln = Eu, Yb, Sm. Method consists in interaction of crystallohydrate of lanthanide trichloride LnCl3·6H2O, wherein Ln = Eu, Yb, Sm, with organoaluminium compound (OAC) of formula R2ALR', wherein R = R' = Me, Et, iso-Bu; R = iso-Bu, R' = H. Reaction is carried out with molar ratio LnCl3·6H2O/OAC = 1/40 in argon atmosphere at 20-25°C and atmospheric pressure in medium of aprotic solvent - tetrahydrofurane. Separation of LnCl2·(THF)2 is performed by removal of solvent by vacuum distillation and precipitation of solid complex by addition of hexane or toluene.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to simplify technological process due to carrying it out by one-stage method under mild conditions with application of available crystallohydrates of lanthanide trichloride in comparison with poorly available metal Ln or waterless LnCl3.
