FIELD: testing technology.
SUBSTANCE: sample of the test material is placed inside a metal casing, which is made in the form of a circular truncated cone surrounded by a layer of explosive substance (ES), in which detonation is initiated, propagating in a sliding mode on the surface of the casing, providing its movement by the products of ES explosion with the subsequent dynamic loading of the sample, on the behaviour of which the properties of the test material are determined. A blast wave is formed on the surface of the inert layers that surround the sample, providing when their pass the transformation of the shock-wave pulse to quasi-isentropic pulse that influences on the sample, carrying out its dynamic loading. The thickness and the material of the inert layers are selected based on condition of providing along the surface of the sample the simultaneous occurrence of the pulse with the distribution of its intensity required for this test.
EFFECT: enhanced functional capabilities of the method, providing the possibility both of radiographic studies and for metallography, moreover, there are no restrictions of the aggregative state of the test material.
