SUBSTANCE: invention relates to investigating properties of explosive substances. Device comprises a cuvette for the test sample of ES coaxially installed in the vertical guide, an inert barrier, a shock action source and a initiation means, the cuvette is located on the protective screen under which the heater is mounted, and the inert barrier is made of two parts. Device comprises a high-speed electric detonator as a stable shock action generator, which makes it possible to study the influence of the melt temperature on the parameters of shock action sensitivity, and also to vary the amplitude of the shock action impulse acting on the melt of explosives by changing the thickness of the inert barrier between the detonator and the melt.

EFFECT: it is possible to determine the sensitivity with allowance for the amplitude of the shock action pressure, the temperature of the melt and the amplitude of the shock action pulse, and also to ensure the preservation of a significant part of the device elements during an explosive experiment.
