FIELD: test equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of material testing, to the study of the properties of materials under dynamic action, in particular to explosive loading devices to investigate the compressibility of materials using cylindrical charges of explosives with external initiation. Cylindrical detonation device comprises cylindrical charge of explosives with an internal axial cylindrical cavity for placement of the test material and a system for initiating a cylindrical charge with an initiation source, which is made in the form of a detonation wiring arranged in a two-layer inert detonation matrix, consisting of the channel layers along the surface and the perpendicular end portions thereof, the common input portion of which is located in the upper layer of the matrix. Matrix is located concentrically around the cylindrical charge. Lower layer of the matrix is made thicker than the thickness of the upper layer in 1.2–1.5 times, and includes the end areas with a rectangular breakdown. Distance S between the end portions opposite in the corners of the rectangle diagonally is selected depending on the thickness H of the cylindrical charge from the following relation: S/H=0.2–0.5.
EFFECT: technical result: reduction in the level of heterodynamic loading of the sample of the material under study.
