FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: method includes cutting tool penetration in the surface of a machined part to a preset width of cutting, cutting and removal of machining wastes. To simplify, to reduce labour intensity and to expand the area of application the penetration in the machined part surface, cutting and machining wastes removal are performed by a U-shape cutting tool to make a through hole in the rotating part, having loaded working and adjacent surfaces, that penetrate in the rotating part. At that the cutting width is determined as the sum of the width of the working surface of the cutting tool, and the doubled projection of the abrasive material on the surfaces adjacent to the working surface of the cutting tool.
EFFECT: method simplifies and reduces labour intensity, and extends the area of application.
