FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and may be used in milling complex configuration parts with alternation of ledges and grooves, particularly, in making bladed integrated discs of radial- or axial-flow vane machines. Proposed method comprises milling whereat cutter is revolved and fed in direction aligned with cutter rotational axis to make cutting passes within the specified groove boundaries to produce channels. Cutting passes are carried out using cutters with decreasing diameter of working part selected subject to design diameter of working part required for producing maximum surface area formed by cutter cutting edge in contact with blank machined surface. Cutting passes are performed at wider side of the groove to allow the cutter to reach preset length of cutting pass.
EFFECT: higher efficiency.
