FIELD: machining; deep peripheral finish grinding of materials liable to defects at control of heat flux directed to part. SUBSTANCE: proposed sectional grinding disk is provided with hub with working members mounted on it for radial motion from end faces of disk. Axially-shifted cutting abrasive layer is applied over periphery of disk. Ring-shaped working members have varying section in width; they are provided with abrasive layer over their periphery. Such construction makes it possible to shift from roughing to finish grinding . EFFECT: increased productivity; reduced heat stress of grinding. 3 cl, 6 dwg
