FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: percutaneous nephrolithotomy is performed. A pelvicalyceal system is punctured through a calyx. A case is installed to insert a flexible nephroscope through it. The pelvicalyceal system is filled with carbon dioxide in an amount of up to 0.3 l. The calculi are imaged. They are broken, which is followed by lithoextraction.
EFFECT: method allows to avoid the calculi fragment migration in the pelvicalyceal system provides better intraoperative imaging, reduces a rate of re-interventions and a risk of intra- and postoperative complications; it is highly effective for residual calculi removal from the pelvis, middle and lower groups of calixes.
