FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: to prevent a calculus migration into the kidney in contact ureterolithotripsy carbon dioxide is used as an irrigational substance. After introduction of the uteroscope into the urinary bladder carbon dioxide is pumped into it until the urinary bladder smoothes out. After that, the mouths of the ureters are visualised. Then, a string is introduced into the respective ureter, by which the ureteroscope is passed into the ureter, with simultaneous pumping of carbon dioxide until smoothing out. Then, the ureteroscope is passed to the calculus level and its extraction, or crushing to small fragments is carried out with further extraction.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to eliminate a risk of development of intra- and postoperative complications, such as migration of the calculus into the kidney and development of acute pyelonephritis, provides qualitatively better intraoperative visualisation, and reduces the operation time and frequency of re-interventions.
