SUBSTANCE: method of manufacturing coated paper and applying the liquid coating on the ribbon-like paper web with the formation of the plurality of bands extending in the width direction of the web and spaced from each other in the longitudinal direction of the web, comprises: a step (S1) of applying coating for applying the liquid coating on the web with the formation of bands with the pitch of bands of coating narrower than the constructive pitch of bands, defined as standard for coated paper; a step (S2) of postprocessing carried out after the step of applying coating, for drying the web; and a step (S3) of applying tension, carried out after the step of postprocessing, to increase the pitch of bands of the web by applying tension to the web to make the pitch of bands of the web get closer to the constructive pitch of bands.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain the coated paper having bands in accordance with the constructive pitch of bands even if the web shrinks during the manufacturing.
