SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a cigarette folding paper manufacture method according whereto web subject to transformation into cigarette folding paper is transported; a liquid flame retardant is applied onto the web during the web transportation for forming flame retardant strips passing in the direction of the web width, with preset intervals in the direction of the web transportation so that: at the first stage the flame retardant is applied on the web; then the web is dried; at the second stage water is applied on a side opposite to the side whereon the flame retardant was applied at the first stage; at the third stage the web brought through the second stage is dried by way of the web pressing and stretching between a drying and thrust shafts.
EFFECT: invention ensures the possibility to manufacture uncockled folding cigarette paper.
