FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to propulsion engineering, particularly, to ICEs. Claimed invention consists in that the engine cylinders are configured in three rows to make the W-like configuration at angles γ relative to adjacent rows. Three-elbow crankshaft features the split crankpins with the overlap angles δ to allow the fitting of three con rods on one pin. At sequence of operation 1-4-7-2-5-8-3-6-9 at whatever magnitudes of angle γ a uniform alternation of working cycles is ensured by appropriate magnitude of angle δ = γ-80°. Said uniform alternation defines, in its turn, the better equalisation of the engine at reactive torque.
EFFECT: better engine equalisation and small length of the engine.
