FIELD: printing industry.

SUBSTANCE: multiple ink cartridges are installed with possibility of removal in jet printer, including light receiver to receive light , and multiple electric contacts of device, that are together connected with line, and ink cartridge contains electric contact of the container electrically connected with the appropriate electric contact of the device, information storage device made with possibility to store the relevant information of the ink cartridge, light emitting part made with possibility to emit the light towards the light receiver, and control part made with possibility to control the light emitting part to emit light in accordance with emission command sent by the jet printer to control the light emitting part to emit the light. The control part of the ink cartridge controls the light emitting part to emit light upon reception of the emission command sent by jet printer to control any light emitting part of multiple ink cartridges for light emission.

EFFECT: it is possible to guarantee stability of detection of ink cartridges installation, and to avoid phenomena of error of detection of installation due to production mistake of the light emitting part of the ink cartridge.
