FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to lighting engineering. The method and device are disclosed for scaled network of heterogeneous devices. The network may include segment controllers coupled so that they may exchange data with remote administration system and multitude of heterogeneous devices such as, for example, units of external lighting devices and sensors. Segment controllers may transmit data from sensor to another sensor to the remote administration system. Segment controllers may also transmit control data to units of external lighting devices and to one or more auxiliary units, when required. At least some of control data may be based on data sent from the remote administration system, and when required segment controller may generate at least some control data independently from the remote administration system.
EFFECT: improved efficiency of data transfer between multitude of heterogeneous devices due to usage of network architecture, which ensures scaled support for large quantity of heterogeneous devices.
