CONNECTION OF LIGHT DEVICES Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC H05B47/00 H04L12/00

Abstract RU 2719394 C2

FIELD: lighting.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to putting lighting network devices into operation, such as a ZigBee Light Link (ZLL) network. Method which enables at least some of the nodes to be connected to a wireless communication network, in which each of them operates in accordance with a wireless network protocol, and each of which is a component of the light system. Initiating unit wirelessly translates the detection request using a network protocol, according to which each other node responds only to the detection request, which is transmitted by the initiating unit, under condition of being inside a predefined range. Therefore, each of the one or more "intra-range" nodes responds to the discovery request from the initiating unit and thereby connects to the wireless network, while one or more of the "out-of-range" nodes do not respond. Also, one or more of the "intra-range" nodes act as relaying nodes in order to retransmit the detection request to receive it by one or more "out-of-range" nodes. One or more of the "out-of-range" nodes respond to retransmitted detection requests, thereby connecting to the wireless network.

EFFECT: technical result is simplification of connection and addition of devices to home lighting network for consumer.
