A method of signalling a precoding message by a secondary station to a primary station includes forming a precoding matrix, obtained from a Hadamard product of an alphabet change matrix and an initial precoding matrix, wherein the initial precoding matrix consists of complex coefficients of equal value, and transmitting the precoding message, representing the precoding matrix, to the primary station.
