FIELD: wireless communication.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wireless communication and, in particular, to multipath codebooks having optimized costs. A method performed in a wireless device contains stages, at which a precoder indicator is determined from a codebook, wherein the indicator contains a phase parameter of the first beam and a phase parameter of the second beam, corresponding respectively to the first beam and the second beam. The phase parameter of the first beam takes one of the first integer of phase values, and the phase parameter of the second beam takes one of the second integer of phase values. At least one of following conditions is met: the second integer of phase values is less than the first integer of phase values, and the second frequency granularity is greater than the first frequency granularity. The method includes a stage, at which a certain precoder indicator is transmitted to a network node. According to another aspect, the second beam has less power compared to the first beam, and the second integer of phase values is less than the first integer of phase values.

EFFECT: construction of an effective codebook of a multipath precoder to improve MU-MIMO performance and ensure low feedback costs.
