MARINE ELECTRIC POWER PLANT Russian patent published in 2016 - IPC B63H23/24 B63H21/17

Abstract RU 2575366 C1

FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: claimed plant comprises the master primary heat engine, frequency inverters, propulsion motor, auxiliary diesel-generator, matching transformer, feeder switchboard, secondary switchboard, automatic interrupters and auxiliaries. Three-phase windings are fitted on the propulsion motor stator and isolated from each other. Three-phase windings of the synchronous generator are connected via automatic interrupters to frequency inverters inputs with their outputs connected via automatic interrupters to the propulsion motor stator windings. Auxiliary diesel-generator is connected via automatic interrupter to the master switchboard connected, in its turn, to frequency inverter input.

EFFECT: higher power efficiency and primary heat engine load factor.
