PROPULSION ELECTRIC POWER PLANT Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC B63H21/17 B63H23/24 B60L11/08

Abstract RU 2658759 C1

FIELD: shipbuilding.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the power plants on ships. Propulsion power plant contains two heat engines, two three-phase electric generators, two three-phase full-wave voltage rectifiers, two DC link capacitors, three-level voltage inverters, propulsion motors, each working on its own propeller. Wherein each of the generators is mechanically connected to its heat engine, and electrically connected to the input of its voltage rectifier. Generators have zero point output, and the voltage inverters number is equal to the number of propulsion motors. First voltage rectifier positive terminal is connected to the second voltage rectifier positive terminal, and also to all voltage inverters positive terminals and to the first capacitor first terminal. First capacitor second terminal is connected to the generators zero points, to all voltage inverters zero points and the second capacitor first terminal. Second capacitor second terminal is connected to the two rectifiers negative terminals and to all voltage inverters negative points.

EFFECT: technical result consists in increase in the electric power plant operational characteristics.
