FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: claimed train comprises a leading car and a trailer car with 3-11 DC or AC traction motors supplied from the trolley line. Every DC motor is connected via a slip ring with the AC circuit and connected with the transformers, thyristor inverters, excitation winding, solenoid and storage batteries. Every AC motor is connected via a slip ring with the AC circuit, transformer, thyristor inverters, self-contained voltage inverter (SVI), SVI control system and self-contained voltage rectifier (SVR) control system. The SVI control system in the motor mode runs as the inverter while in the braking mode it changes over to the rectifier mode. The SVR in the motor mode runs as the rectifier while in the braking mode it changes over to the inverter mode. The stator windings of every induction motor are connected with separate units 1-10 of high-capacity capacitor banks.
EFFECT: higher power saving and non-polluting properties.
