FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: inventions can be used as fire-protective means. Method for milling with simultaneous drying of raw material mixture, containing aluminium trihydroxide with average size of particles D50 in the range from 50 to 130 mcm, BET specific surface in the range from 0.01 to 0.5 m2/g and water content from 0.1 to 20 wt % counted per raw material mixture, includes the following stages: 1) supply of raw material mixture into milling and drying aggregate, ii) supply of hot air flow with temperature in the range from 20 to 120°C into milling and drying aggregate, with flow passing through milling and drying aggregate; and iii) milling aluminium trihydroxide, contained in raw material mixture, in milling and drying aggregate with obtaining aluminium trihydroxide with the following characteristics: average size of particles D50 in the range from 3 to 15 mcm, BET specific surface in the range from 2 to 9 m2/g and water content in the range from 0 to 2 wt % counted per aluminium trihydroxide. Application of aluminium trihydroxide, obtained by the claimed method and characteristic in method for obtaining thermosetting plastic.
EFFECT: inventions make it possible to use aluminium trihydroxide with wide range of particles, increase energy effectiveness, and avoid aluminium trihydroxide dehydration.
