FIELD: fire-resistant resin materials.
SUBSTANCE: claimed composition contains a) 20-60 mass % of thermoplastic and/or cross-linked or cross-linkable elastomer and b) 40-80 mass % of fire-resistant agent which represents either aluminum hydroxide with the next characteristics: specific surface calculated on the base of nitrogen adsorption by BET-method from 3 to 5 m2/g; average particle diameter d50 from 1.0-1.5 mum; residual moisture from 0.1 to 0.4 %; oil capacity from 19 to 23 %, and moisture capacity from 0.4-0.5 ml/g; or aluminum hydroxide with the next characteristics: specific surface calculated by BET-method from 5 to 8 m2/g; average particle diameter d50 from 0.8-1.3 mum; residual moisture from 0.1 to 0.6 %; oil capacity from 21 to 25 %, and moisture capacity from 0.6-0.8 ml/g. Also disclosed is method production of fire-resistant material by milling of aluminum hydroxide obtained by precipitation and filtering in form of moisture containing filtered cake with average particle diameter of 0.8-1.5 mum in turbulent hot air flow with simultaneous drying under sufficient condition to obtain specific surface calculated by BET-method increased by at least 20 % while constant grain-size distribution.
EFFECT: improved reprocessability of resin composition filled with aluminum hydroxide; simplified method with decreased cost.
