FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to materials intended for adsorption processes and more particularly to adsorbents for trapping, concentrating and storage of carbon dioxide (CO2) contained in exhaust gases of thermal power plants, chemical and metallurgical works, in the biogas. Invention can be used in metallurgical and chemical industries. Adsorbent for trapping, concentration and storage of carbon dioxide is a carrier - mesoporous hypercrosslinked polystyrene with surface area of 1,300-1,700 m2/g modified with zinc oxide in amount of 1-1.5 g of ZnO per 1 g of carrier. Adsorption capacity of adsorbent is 30-31 wt.%.
EFFECT: technical result is creation of modified adsorbent, which for more than 2 times exceeds capacity characteristics for CO2 of already known adsorbents of this purpose and at that is characterised with lower (150°C) temperature of CO2 desorption (regeneration).
