FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to chemical engineering and may be applicable for producing sulphur compound sorbents being a part of hydrocarbon gases and oil fractions. The sorbent contains 37.5-60.0 wt % of zinc oxide deposited on a carrier representing mesoporous silicon oxide; it has a specific area of 160-790 m2/g with a pore space of 0.4-1.3 cm3/g. The carrier is produced from compositions having two formulations. One of the compositions contains components in molar ratio equal to 1.0 SiO2 : 0.25 CTABr : 0.2 TEAOH : 40.0 H2O; the other composition contains 1.0 TEOS : 0.01-0.02 Pluronic F-127 : 5.0-7.0 HCl : 150-250 H2O. The zinc compound is deposited by impregnation from solution of zinc acetate or solution of zinc chloride in the presence of carbamide.
EFFECT: invention provides the more effective hydrogen sulphide adsorption ensured by a high dispersion ability of the active component and a low gas flow resistance.
