FIELD: nuclear energy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the manufacture of fuel elements (cartridges) for nuclear reactors. Production of the fuel element of a nuclear reactor is carried out in two stages. First - preform cladding is equipped with contact material, pellets of the fission material, a spring compressed by a shank. Then the cladding is sealed, hermetized, sealed and heated to the melting temperature of the contact product and then cooled. Second - an adapter is complemented with the reflector and the gas collector. As the contact material are used: magnesium, sodium, lead, copper, magnesium, lead, bismuth, aluminum-silicon-nickel.
EFFECT: technical result - increase in the thermal conductivity between the inner surface of the cladding and pillar tablets fissile material.
