SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a fan assembly to generate air flow in a room, which includes an annular housing forming an inner channel. Inner channel includes an air inlet and, downstream of air inlet, accommodates an impeller and an electric motor for actuation of impeller to capture air flow through air inlet in into fan assembly. Inner channel also has an air outlet from which exits at least part of air flow generated in fan assembly. Annular housing forms an opening, which extends around inner channel and through which secondary air stream outside fan assembly is captured by air discharged from air outlet.

EFFECT: invention aims to provide a compact fan.
