SUBSTANCE: appliance comprises a display unit that displays the operating settings and the operating state. The household appliance additionally comprises a block of tags that performs near field communication (NFC) with a terminal. The household appliance additionally comprises a controller which (i) stores the information about the product in the block of tags, (ii) receives the data stored in the block of tags, (iii) changes the operating settings, (iv) controls the operating state, and (v) sends the changed operating settings to the display unit. The controller determines the information about the network connection, that is stored in the block of tags using the terminal to the communication module of the block of tags, and transmits and receives data through wireless communication through the predetermined network via the communication module.
