SUBSTANCE: mass flow sensor system (200) includes a density meter (202), comprising a sensor unit (204a) and electronics (204b) of a density meter, made as capable of generating measurements of process fluid density. The mass flow sensor system (200) additionally includes a volume flow meter (203), comprising a sensor unit (205a) and electronics (205b) of a volume meter, made as capable of generating measurements of process fluid volume flow and electrically connected to the electronics (204b) of the density meter. A remote processing system (207) is provided, which is electrically connected to only one of electronics (204b) of the density meter or electronics (205b) of the volume meter. The remote processing system (207) is made as capable of receiving measurement of the process fluid mass flow, generated by the electronics (204b) of the density meter or electronics (205b) of the volume meter, on the basis of the generated density measurement and generated volume flow.
EFFECT: reduced quantity of wires between meters and central processing system, simplified replacement of meters by means of exclusion of necessity for reprogramming of a central system.
