SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to medicine. A medical interventional method for controlling different parameters is implemented by means of an interventional procedure system, which comprises an interventional instrument and work station. The interventional instrument comprises an elongated flexible element having one or more longitudinal segmented sections, an optical fibre integrated into the flexible element, and a number of optical sensors connected to the optical fibre and distributed along the length of the flexible element so that the sensors are provided to control a number of different parameters simultaneously in different positions and for different data sources along the flexible element in order to provide distributed sensing. A number of different parameters include the patient's physiological parameters and parameters of the interventional instrument. The work station is configured to provide an interface to control the interventional instrument and perform a procedure with using the interventional instrument.
EFFECT: achieving the more accurate localisation of the interventional instrument.
