Integrated optical system for determining the shape and method include the structure of the device designed to accommodate a fiber port or connector. Platform is designed for providing remote relation with structure of the device so that the position of a fibre port or connector monitored to ensure bearing position. Platform fixes patient near the structure of the device. Interventional tool equipped with optical determination of shape, includes the first fibre-optic cable connected to fibre port or connector.
EFFECT: optical request module is intended for collection of optical feedback from the tool and has the second fibre-optic cable connected to fibre port or connector so that to provide known reference position for accurate reconstruction of shape.
