FIELD: instrument engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to instrument making, particularly gyroscopes, and is intended for use in navigation instruments. Gyroscope comprises housing, rotating chamber and rotor installed in chamber on elastic suspension, wherein the rotor is made in the form of two flywheels of the same diameter, connected in the middle by a smaller-diameter crosspiece, suspension is made in the form of a thread along the rotor main axis and a membrane located along the equator of the crosspiece and connecting it with the chamber.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of accuracy and sensitivity of gyroscopes and reduction of their dimensions.
