FIELD: acoustics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to noise suppression. Multi-chamber silencer comprises cylindrical casing, rigidly connected with inlet and outlet nozzles, a packet of partitions in form of discs with holes, and sound-absorbing element located on end part of outlet pipe on side facing partitions. Packet of partitions comprises rings arranged between discs, rigidly connected with inlet and outlet nozzles by rods arranged in peripheral part of packet of partitions. Between smooth (11) and perforated (12) surfaces of sound absorbing element (10) a multilayer sound absorbing structure comprises first rigid solid shaped layer (13) fixed on a smooth surface. Second layer (14) of sound absorbing element is softer than first, is made of rotation bodies located in focus of sound reflecting surfaces of first layer. Third layer (18) is located between first layer and perforated surface of sound absorbing element and is made of a construction sealing foam.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of noise suppression due to exclusion of “radiation effect” and penetration of sound waves.
