FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to transport machine building. In a first variant, the method for indicating degradation of the operation of a vehicle fuel system includes a stage at which degradation indicating for each of the vehicle fuel system sections is performed, based on a loss of mass from the fuel system. In a second variant, a method for indicating degradation of the operation of a vehicle fuel system includes the steps, on which signals are generated for each of the sections; these signals increase with increasing mass of the fuel content between the first and second instances. For the sections, a third signal is formed, that increases with an increasing mass of fuel as a function of the change of mass of included fuel in each section. In a third variant, a method for indicating degradation of a vehicle fuel system includes the step of indication of the operation of deterioration based on the loss of mass from the fuel system, monitored between the first and second instances following a vehicle off condition.

EFFECT: prevention of fuel loss from the fuel system is achieved.
