FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: system comprises an ultrasonic probe accommodating a two-dimensional matrix converter, a controller, which manages the probe so as to receive two-projection images of different orientations, a user's control unit which is managed by the user so as to give commands to the controller, receive and save a series of images with sequentially different image orientations within the range of variation of image plane orientation angles, and a display unit to present the two-projection images. A method consists in selecting a two-projection imaging mode, imaging a body region of interest in the selected mode, initiating the collection and scanning of the two-projection images, wherein the collection and scanning include the sequentially different image orientations, and saving the series of images.
EFFECT: invention provides higher diagnostic accuracy.
