FIELD: information technology.

SUBSTANCE: system comprises connector of the ultrasound probe with the system for use at imaging, image display and user control panel having a smooth upper surface, formed by a sheet of transparent material, set of graphical control elements arranged on the lower side of the sheet in the fixed positions which correspond to user control elements. Graphic control elements are surrounded by a dark opaque colour; barrier layer on the lower side of the sheet, which comprises a plurality of recesses below the graphical control elements that define fields of lighting, limited to fixed positions of user control elemants. Fields of lighting contain luminescent light sources and lighting controller coupled to the light sources. Lighting controller is configured to provide illumination of various groups of user control elements for use during various operating modes or imaging procedures in accordance with the need for control elements during the selected mode or procedure. Lighting of unnecessary user control elements is switched off.

EFFECT: use of the invention allows to expand the arsenal of management tools in ultrasound imaging systems.
