FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: injured, superior and inferior vertebral bodies are approached. Two blind holes are created in the superior vertebra; a respective first rod with a first axial through hole is inserted into each hole. Two blind holes are created in the inferior vertebra; a respective second rod with a second axial through hole is inserted into each hole. The first holes and second holes are filled with cement. One end of a respective reinforced tube is connected to each of free ends of the first rods. The tubes are filled with cement. Other side of the tube is attached to a free end of the respective second rod, and the tube is left in this position. The mounted elements are kept until the cement is hard.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to reduce the length of the intervention and provide more precise fixation.
