FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: electrosurgical instrument comprises a housing, a terminal clamp, a cutting member and a barrel. Terminal clamp comprises a pair of jaws and at least one electrode, which is configured to deliver radiofrequency energy to tissue between jaws. Cutting member is configured to cut tissue clamped between jaws. Barrel comprises a hinge part which is adapted to be selectively placed in non-parallel terminal clamp positions with respect to longitudinal axis of barrel. Housing comprises a controller adapted to selectively engage hinge part. Controller may include a swivel handle, a rotating handle or a rotating blade. Elastically shifting lever promotes return of trigger from operating position to initial position. Instrument is easy to control.
EFFECT: easy control of electrosurgical instrument.
