FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine. Surgical instrument of cutting/suturing type with automatically changed configuration of swivel end clamp contains end clamp, shaft and unit of swivel connection. Unit of swivel connection is connected between end clamp and shaft and has, at least, one engine for changing rotation of end clamp relative to shaft. Unit of swivel connection has, at least, one sensor for determination of rotation of end clamp relative to shaft. Control device is connected to rotation sensor and engine. Control device contains, at least, one memory device for storage of data about change of swivel configuration, at least, from one sensor of rotation. When activated, control device directs control signals to swivel engine for automatic change of end clamp rotation into required position in accordance with data, obtained from sensor of rotation and stored in control device memory.
EFFECT: improvement of instrument construction.
