FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment, namely to surgical instruments and, in various designs, to surgical cutting and suturing tools and cartridges with staples for them, which are made with possibility of stapling and stapling tissue. Surgical cutting and suturing instrument comprises a handle assembly, an elongated shaft assembly, an engine, a switch body assembly and a control assembly with a rotary handle. Assembly of elongated shaft is functionally connected to the handle assembly and is made with possibility of functional attachment to the surgical end effector. Engine is supported by handle assembly and is configured to apply rotary movement to one of elongated shaft assembly and associated surgical end effector. Switch body assembly is installed inside the handle assembly, wherein the switch housing assembly comprises a fixed sensor mounted on the switch body, and a stop ledge formed on the switch body. Control unit with rotary handle comprises rotary handle collar, actuator, first sensor and second sensor. Collar of rotary handle comprises a slot. Actuator is attached to rotary handle collar. First sensor is movable and is installed on the rotary handle collar. Second sensor is movable and installed on the rotary handle collar. Control assembly with rotary handle is configured to be functionally supported on the handle assembly and is coupled to the motor such that when the actuator of the control unit rotates with the rotary handle in the first direction, engine applies rotary movement in first direction to unit of elongated shaft, and at rotation of actuator in second direction, engine applies rotary movement in second direction to unit of elongated shaft. Fixed sensor is configured to control the direction of rotation of the elongated shaft assembly depending on proximity of the first and second sensors relative to the fixed sensor. Locking ledge of the housing of the switches is configured to interact with the cutout collar of the rotary handle so as to prevent contact between the first sensor and the second sensor.
EFFECT: invention is characterized by the fact that presence of lock ledge and slit provides for prevention of contact between movable sensors and fixed sensor, this prevention of contact provides more reliable operation of tool.
