FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the physiology and can be used to eliminate the negative effects of skeletal muscle atrophy caused by prolonged alcohol intoxication. Method comprises administering to the animal a mixture of amino acids with branched side chain of L-leucine, L-isoleucine, L-valine, to restore the structure and size of fast-twitch muscle fibers, wherein the ratio of L-leucine, L-isoleucine, L-valine in the mixture is 2:1:1, respectively. Duration of administration of a mixture of amino acids with branched side chain is 30 days. daily dosage of the mixture of amino acids with branched side-chain was 0.8 g/kg.
EFFECT: use of the invention allows to accelerate the recovery of the cross sectional area of muscle fibers and muscle mass.
