FIELD: manufacturing technology.

SUBSTANCE: first and second strips of scarfwise material 4 and 5 are moved forward in the first direction which is the direction of forward movement; at that, the direction of the forward movement is changed into the second direction. Two turning rods 12 and 13 are arranged at a distance from each other, the first and second strips of scarfwise material 4 and 5 are moved forward in first direction and get engaged with turning rods 12 and 13. Then the first and second strips of scarfwise material 4 and 5 are inserted between turning rods 12 and 13 and turned with the help of these rods so that forward movement direction is changed into the second direction.

EFFECT: there is proposed a device for changing the forward direction of scarfwise material movement.
