SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method and an image processing device, and, in particular, to use of a deblocking filter for standard high-efficiency video coding (HEVC). Image processing device is disclosed, comprising: a decoding section for decoding an image of an encoded stream, a horizontal filtration section for application of deblocking filter to vertical boundary of unit in an image which must be decoded in decoding section, a vertical filtration section for application of deblocking filter to horizontal boundary of unit in image which must be decoded in decoding section, and a control section, as a result of which in said horizontal filtration section several vertical boundaries of unit contained in processed element are concurrently filtered, said element including several coded elements, and in vertical filtration section several horizontal boundaries of unit contained in processed element are concurrently filtered.

EFFECT: technical result is providing additional paralleling of processing during deblocking filter application.
