SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method and an image processing device, and in particular to use of a deblocking filter for a high-efficiency video coding (HEVC) standard. Disclosed is an image processing device comprising: a decoding section adapted to decode an image from the encoded stream, a horizontal filtering section adapted to apply a deblocking filter to the vertical boundary of the block in the image, which must be decoded in a decoding section, a vertical filtering section adapted to apply a deblocking filter to the block boundary in the image to be decoded in the decoding section, and control section, as a result of which operation in horizontal filtration section parallel to filtering several vertical boundaries of block, contained in processed element, which includes several coded elements, and in the vertical filtration section parallel to filtering several horizontal boundaries of the block contained in the processed element.

EFFECT: technical result is providing additional paralleling of processing when applying a deblocking filter.
